"WHAT?
THIS ISN'T A DIARY, IT'S A JOURNAL! THERE'S A BIG DIFFERENCE!!"

______________________________________________
This is where Sans posts his thoughts.
If I were you, I'd leave his "journal" alone.
But who knows, maybe he'll write about your muse sometime.
Please do not comment/roleplay here, leave a starter in the comment below.
{💙 } Tiny stars danced in the skeleton's cyan orbs. Staring in awe of your muse as if he'd never seen anything so fascinating in his entire life. It wasn't often a new face showed itself around these parts, so of course he was excited.

A link of assorted bones blocked the path, summoned by the said monster who now stood between you and your destination.

"HALT, IN THE NAME OF THE ROYAL GUARD!
STATE YOUR BUSINESS, OR FACE THE FURY OF THE GREAT, AND MAGNIFICENT SANS!!"

"I was told to have a greeting with the queen, I am the human Marquees of Ostia, Hector." He huffed like a bull, as tall as he is, his voice sounded that if a late teen male, his axe however was huge, he was nearly at all as the queen give or take a foot. His axe' head was just as big as his entire body, and it sparked ferociously, this was his main weapon of choice; Armads the Thundering Axe. "Move aside! ... Please." He said to the other, the please was pretty late however.
( chara had been trudging through the snow, grumbling about how cold it was )
( really, asgore should've been considerate enough to tell them that it'd be so cold that their sweater alone wouldn't be enough to keep them comfy )
( . . . then again, considering the circumstances under which they left the ruins, he was probably too sad due to their departure to remember to tell them of the weather outside )
( as they were lost in their thoughts, a bunch of bones popped up in front of them, and they let out a startled squeak, quickly taking a step back )

* wh- . . . what?

( they notice that there was a skeleton blocking their path. well, their hopes that they could walk by without being noticed had all gone down the drain, that much was certain )
( they hope that they wouldn't be dragged into a fight- they weren't much of a fighter, and since they had stupidly overlooked getting healing items, they weren't exactly in the best shape )

* um, uh- my business is to  go to the castle, i guess!
* that . . . that's where the exit is, right?
* i mean, pops didn't tell me much about the places outside the ruins-

( yeah, if they recall correctly, all asgore told them was that toriel would kill them if they reached her and didn't fight )
( which wasn't a good thing, that was certain, but hey, they'd just stay determined and try their hardest to be merciful! it would work, right . . . ? )
 {💙 } If Papyrus hadn't muttered something about a human being in the area, they would have probably already made it to Snowdin by now. But he wasn't going to let this golden opportunity slip between his fingers. Not after nearly two weeks of non-stop training preparing himself in the event one happened to show up.

Though his size proved to be less threatening than the bones he'd summoned, the skeleton showed no signs of backing down. He was determined to keep them from progressing, even if they happened to be taller than him.

Gripping the larger bone he held in his hand, the fabric squeaking against the texture he spoke.

"YOU ARE CORRECT!!
BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE CASTLE IS EXTREMELY FAR AWAY FROM WHERE WE ARE STANDING!! BUT I'M AFRAID I CANNOT LET YOU PASS, UNLESS YOU PROVE THAT YOU'RE NOT A HUMAN!"
* ah, so i wasn't wrong! go me!
* so, uh, how do i get the-
* . . .
* oh. uh, so i have to prove that i'm not human?

( in hindsight, chara should've expected that nicely asking to be able to pass wouldn't work that well )
( after all, there was only one more human soul needed to break the barrier, according to asgore, and they happened to be a human . . . )
( though it's not like killing them would supply the monsters with the last human soul, since their soul always shattered when they were killed- at least, that's what kept on happening when they died in the ruins )
( oh well, no use pondering about that now. chara realises that they had been zoning out, and let out a sheepish laugh )

* oopsie, i zoned out again. gosh, i should stop doing that around pe- oh right, the whole 'prove i'm not human' thing!
* that- um, i am human though, so i don't think i'll be able to prove that i'm not one!

( okay, that was definitely a stupid move, they should've tried to convince him that they were a monster )
( then again, they'd be busted as soon as their soul entered into a battle if they tried to do that, so it was probably a better choice to reveal themself early )
[ ? ? ? ] [/ with a quiet sigh, kitty finally admitted it to herself.  she was lost, moreso than she had been yet. ]
[ ? ? ? ] [/ she'd survived a fatherly goat-like creature in the ruins, only to find herself in an icy pine forest.. and with nothing to guide her. ]
[ ? ? ? ] [/ she sighed, hugging herself as she walked, trying to stay warm. ]
[ ? ? ? ] [/ thinking, she paused her walk, stopping to turn around and look back at the large, sealed door to the ruins.  part of her wished she'd stayed behind; asgore had been so nice... ]
[ ? ? ? ] [/ suddenly, she jumped, her thoughts abruptly interrupted by someone behind her. ]
[ ? ? ? ] [/ whipping around, she looked to see.. a small skeleton, by the looks of it.  and an excited one, too. ]
[ ? ? ? ] [/ the human gasped as the bones appeared to block the way, taking a step backwards; she knew an attack when she saw one by now. ]
[ ? ? ? ]
[/ great, not twenty steps out of the ruins and someone's already trying to kill me. ]
[ ? ? ? ] [/ she shivered, partially ouf of fear, but mostly out of the cold around her, as she spoke, stuttering. ]

"My- my business?  Uh..."

[ ? ? ? ] [/ her mind raced, trying to think of something to say that wouldn't make her out to be a human; asgore had said the monsters out here were even more dangerous than the ones in the ruins, after all. ]
[ ? ? ? ] [/ if they knew she was human, who knew what they'd do?  she knew exactly what they'd do: harvest her soul, that's what. ]
[ ? ? ? ] [/ she puffed her chest out and cleared her throat, trying to act as confident as the other appeared; maybe if she strode around like she owned the place, the monsters wouldn't suspect her non-monsterness. ]
[ ? ? ? ] [/ unless, of course, they knew what a human looked like... in which case, she was boned.  pardon the pun. ]

"Stand down, fellow monster!"
"I have no wish to face your fury!"
"I'm on my way to the Castle, I.. have a message for the queen!"

[ ? ? ? ] [/ seems like high school theatre was starting to pay off after all, eh?  that almost sounded convincing.  :^) ]
